+1DataElements FAQ
      1. What are the supported platforms for +1DataElements?

+1DataElements runs on:

  • Fedora
  • FreeBSD
  • Linux
  • Mac OS
  • Microsoft Windows XP, 2003, and 2000 running Services For Unix (SFU) 3.5.
  • Red Hat
  • Solaris
  • SUSE

SFU 3.5 is a free download from Microsoft. Call us in regards to HP/UX support or other platforms not listed above.

2. If we elect to have +1 Software Engineering generate the +1DataElements HTML documentation for our company, what is the overall process?

Here are the steps:

  1. +1 Software Engineering will sign a non-disclosure with your company. We have a standard form we use, but changes can be made if both parties agree to the terms.

  2. +1 Software Engineering will provide your company with scripts to extract the information +1DataElements uses. The scripts are documented in the +1DataElements Scripts Users Guide.

  3. After +1 receives the output from running the scripts, we generate the HTML documentation for one or more of your databases.

  4. When we are done, we will send you the HTML documentation for your use.

This process typically is completed within a few days.
